Joan FIGUERAS FELIP

· Degree in Medicine in 1974 at University of Barcelona Medical School

· Residency at Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge. University of Barcelona

· Specialist in General and Digestive Surgery March 1980

· Chairman of the Liver Transplant Unit of the “Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge” from 1998

· In our unit we performed untill now more than 900 liver transplants in adults. We participate in several randomized studies

· Our main topics of interest in liver surgery are resection of liver metastases, hepatocellular carcinoma and hilar cholangiocarcinoma

· Professor of Surgery at University of Barcelona from 1990
